Kevin Gee – Head Coach

Head Coach Kevin Gee enters his 17th season coaching and his third behind the Eagles bench.

Named the 2008-2009 Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference coach of the year while at Lawrence Technological University, Gee spent the 2009-2010 season behind the bench for the Detroit Belle Tire Midget Major AAA team. The club’s 61-10-3 overall record earned them a Michigan state championship, a Tier I U-18 league championship, and a berth at the National Championships.

During three seasons in the ACHA at LTU, the Blue Devils experienced the most successful run in school history including advancing twice to the regional semi-final and boasting several garnering All-American and Academic All-American honors. Gee spent five seasons with Detroit Victory Honda Midget Major AAA where his team earned a state championship in 2005, and made finals appearances in 2004 and 2006.

Gee has coached over 50 players that have gone on to NCAA, Major Junior, and professional hockey. Of these players, seven became NHL draft picks, including 1st round selections Chris Summers (Phoenix Coyotes – 2005) and Ian Cole (St. Lous – 2006). In addition to his duties at EMU, Coach Gee is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University and works as a scout for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League.
